Throughout your lessons we can:

Learn how to play your favourite songs.

Explore and develop improvisational praxis for popular music traditions.
-
Cultivate music theory knowledge and apply this to your chosen instrument.

Learn how to read and develop understanding of relevant notation systems (i.e sheet music, tablature, chord symbols and lead sheets).
-
Prepare and undertake digital instrumental grades by prominent music exam boards.
-
Support performance modules for GCSE, A Level and FE/HE auditions.
-
Aid in the development of your songwriting and musical compositions.
-
Explore and utilise music technology (i.e fx pedals, digital processors, notation software and DAW's).
Fees
-
£35 per hour (pro rata).
-
Initial lesson is scheduled as 45 minute session and paid as a one-off payment.
-
Future lessons paid in upfront monthly blocks.
-
30 / 45 / 60 minute lesson slots available (via consultation during initial lesson and dependent on age and/or experience).
-
Payment made by bank transfer or cash no later than 48 hours before the first lesson of the series to secure slot.


How it Works

Lessons take place at Luke's home teaching studio.
-
Students will receive a personalised google classroom to support practice, progression and deliver administrative documentation (parent or guardian account required for under 18's) .

Musical instrument, tutor and/or exams books to be supplied by student/guardian.

Alongside musical development, personal wellbeing and safety are of paramount importance during your music lesson. Luke aims to offer highest professional standards and as a member of the ISM follows their code of conduct and safeguarding policies (found below).

Luke holds an Enhanced DBS, public liability insurance and has over a decades worth of experience working as peripatetic Music Teacher in primary and secondary schools.

Luke has undergone relevant training throughout his professional career and feels extremely confident in providing a calm, safe and enjoyable enviroment to support your musical journey.
